Viña Maitia Itzal 2016

This 100% old vine Pais is from a single vineyrad near the town of Sauzal in the Maule region. Plum, currant, red fruits, and toasted pine nuts dance around notes of dried herbs, a saline quality, and wet soil on the nose. The palate shows red fruit and crushed dried leaves held up by a good structure of tannin and acid. An elegant showcase of a single vineyard Pais with over 100 year old vines.
